The tuna is caught using the principles of one-by-one fishing; an environmentally sustainable approach that avoids the habitat damage that intensive techniques can cause. This low intensity method supports healthier fish stocks and the communities that surround them, because one-by-one fisheries are usually locally owned, often in communities that have a long tradition of fishing.
