MATCH BOXES | TOM FROST
After the success of our first match box commission which celebrated the local (Lewes) obsession with Bonfire we decided to continue with a series of match boxes as part of the growing collection for Freight.
During our research we came across the work of Tom Frost. Areas of his work have been inspired and influenced by old match box designs. We were instantly captivated and hoped this could be the start to our new series. Fortunately Tom was also excited about the possibility of collaborating with us. We loved the work that Tom had already produced but he was keen to create new designs for us to use. The first design ‘All Aboard’ was launched in time for the opening of our new shop on the 5th of November. The second ‘Love is the Key’ is a spring design. Both have been very popular and are something we will hope to continue throughout the year.
