Blackthorn Salt

Scottish sea salt flakes produced using a traditional method involving huge towers of blackthorn branches. The salt water is gently dripped down between the towering stacks of branches and the Scottish winds and sunshine create the right environment to evaporate the water.

Delicious mineral rich salt flakes, ideal for cooking. Particularly recommended as a finishing salt to enhance flavours. Sprinkle over a seasonal tomato salad or to finish a rich chocolate mousse.

A round bottom dish of salt flakes makes the perfect companion to a pepper mill.

For your peppercorns of choice use our cast Brass pepper mills or Nickel pepper mills (do not use salt in these mills).
