Gold Vermeil long hammered linear necklace

A beautifully simple linear link chain necklace in hammered 18 carat gold vermeil. An S-hook fastener makes for an elegant design which takes away the fiddly clasps often found on necklaces. The chain can be worn full length or even doubled over to make a second loop.

Gold vermeil describes jewellery that is made from solid silver and is then coated in a generous layer of gold, making it ideal for daily wear. This traditional technique has been used for over 100 years and results in a layer of gold many times thicker than more modern techniques such as gold plating.
