Gold Vermeil Oval Hoop Earrings

A lovely pair of Gold Vermeil uneven oval hoop earrings with a hand hammered finish adding texture. Butterfly fittings.  

Sarah King is a local Lewes based jeweller whose simple constructions fit perfectly with the Freight aesthetic. 

Gold Vermeil describes jewellery that is made from solid silver and is then coated in a generous layer of gold, making it ideal for daily wear. This traditional technique has been used for over 100 years and results in a layer of gold many times thicker than more modern techniques such as gold plating. 

Sarah uses 18 carat gold on a base of Ecosilver which is a premium material using silver recycled from jewellery, giftware and electronic sources, for a high quality finish with a lovely matt tone.
